Position Overview:
The Student Affairs Coordinator will be part of a small, dynamic team managing various U.S. university programs (both short-term and long-term) at the Accent Paris Study Center. This role involves a mix of student life management, program planning, social media oversight, emergency support, and the coordination of an optional cultural activities series. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment.
Student Life & Community Building:
• Act as the main point of contact for students on a daily basis, ensuring they feel welcome and supported throughout their stay
• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where the Accent Paris Study Center serves as their home base
• Support students with day-to-day concerns, ensuring their experience is enriching and stress-free
• Organize social and cultural activities that foster community engagement
Coordination of Cultural Activities Series:
• Develop and oversee an optional series of cultural activities to enhance students’ immersion in Parisian life
• Research and organize events such as guided museum visits, performances, walking tours, and cooking classes
• Manage event logistics, including reservations, ticketing, and student participation
Front Office Management:
• Provide services to students, faculty, and guests, answering inquiries and offering guidance
• Handle phone calls and assist with administrative tasks (photocopying, filing, etc.)
• Organize materials for student arrivals and orientation (welcome packets, receptions, orientation sessions, metro passes)
• Assist with airport transfers, welcome meals, and city tours
Student Support & Emergency Assistance:
• Assist students and faculty with health-related matters
• Participate in a rotating Emergency Phone duty
• Contribute to Safety & Security Protocols
Social Media & Communications:
• Manage and update the Accent Paris Facebook & Instagram accounts
Administrative Support & Other Responsibilities:
• Perform basic bookkeeping and data entry
• Occasionally work evenings and weekends for student events or emergencies
• Take on additional duties as assigned by the Center Director
Skills :
• Strong oral and written communication skills in both French and English
• Ability to work flexibly and handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, small-team environment
• Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills with a U.S.-style customer service mindset
• Well-organized, efficient, and detail-oriented, with strong multi-tasking and decision-making abilities
• Familiarity with Paris and French culture
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint), email management, Swift Publisher, and social media platforms
Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in international education, tourism, or a similar field
• Experience studying abroad, working in an international environment, and/or with U.S. university programs is strongly preferred
Requirements:
• French or EU citizenship, or legal authorization to work in France
• Bilingual in English and French
• Residency in Paris or its suburbs
