The College Division of AIFS has a vacancy for a Student Advisor for its summer programs in Paris. Your job will be to work as part of a team assisting U.S. undergraduate college students and their professors as they live and learn on AIFSAbroad programs.
As an AIFS Student Advisor you will assist program coordinators in setting up cultural activities, excursions, class field trips, as well as supervising student housing and helping the students with day to day living in their new home, ensuring effective planning and delivery of AIFS Customized Faculty Led programs. This position
would suit a recent graduate who has studied abroad.

- To participate in an on-site team to deliver information services, cultural programs, adjunct courses, counselling/advice and housing services to visiting U.S. students and faculty.
- To be available to handle specific personal problems and concerns of individual students as they arise.
- To provide emergency cover for students with the aid of a duty mobile telephone as part of a team on a rota basis.
Under the supervision of the Paris Director, to assist in the planning and running of upcoming AIFS programs – booking guides, coaches, classrooms and museums, organising field trips, housing and other program components as required.
- To assist in the preparation of social functions.
- To assist in welcoming, and meeting with, US campus administrators during site visits.
- To accompany students on field trips, excursions and cultural visits.
- Occasional evening duties, weekend work and travel away from Paris (cultural events, welcome receptions, extended office hours, overnight excursions etc.). This will require working extended hours via a flexi-time arrangement.
- Other duties as required.
Skills :
- Fluency in English and French.
- Good interpersonal skills and a confident and helpful manner to relate to American faculty and students in a customer service role.
- Strong creative skills.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Numeracy and ability to maintain records of expenditure.
- A working knowledge of Social Media platforms.
- Pride in work; flexibility; ability to work as part of a team, to be able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Interest in working in the study abroad field.
- Candidates need to be flexible, quick-thinking with proven leadership skills
- Experience in higher education and/or study abroad preferred
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivlent preferably with time spent living/studying abroad
Other :
The position is full time - a 35 hour week.
Navigo Travel pass is provided in addition to a monthly salary.

We are offering 2 fixed term contracts as follows:
- 1 contract for 3 months from May 5th to July 31st 2025.
- 1 contract for 2 months from June 2nd to July 31st
