Responsibilities :
The Internship Coordinator will be responsible for the maintenance and development of internship placements in French and English in the summer, fall and spring. We seek a dynamic and proactive individual to build on our strong tradition of internships. The ideal candidate will have professional connections to draw on in Paris and demonstrate the ability to grow our network. The Internship Coordinator is part of the academic team and will hold responsibilities in the areas of academics and customized programs.
- The Internship Coordinator coordinates all aspects of the internship program during the summer, fall, and spring terms.
- At a time of significant growth potential, they maintain and expand IES Abroad Paris’s network of internships in French and English.
- They manage the placement of interns and coach them on all aspects of the application process, including individual Zoom meetings prior to the students’ arrival in Paris.
- They prepare and deliver virtual and onsite orientation sessions.
- They manage all administrative aspects of internships, including Conventions de stage and timesheets.
- They manage all communication with the IES Abroad Chicago Internship team, including marketing materials, the student application process, and questions coming from IES Abroad’s U.S. consortium schools.
- They maintain regular communication and a good working relationship with the Internship Seminar Instructors.
- They are a member of a three-person academic team reporting to the Center Director.
- They advise students and serve as a support person for all IES Abroad students and faculty members.
- They accomplish academic administrative work as assigned for all IES Abroad Paris programs.
- Along with the Academic Manager and the Academic Coordinator, they have a major role in the development and implementation of semester-long Customized Programs.
- Along with all IES Abroad staff members, they:
- Maintain excellent communication and demonstrate commitment to the success of the team.
- Are dependable and willing to adjust priorities whenever needed.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of all programs.
- Lead activities and excursions (including overnight) for standard and customized programs.
- Are on the lookout for any potential student issues and report them to colleagues immediately.
- Contribute to social media and other marketing campaigns.
- Carry the IES Paris emergency telephone during off-work hours on a rotating basis with other staff members. They follow IES Abroad protocols, and respond to all student emergencies.

Qualifications :
Fluent in French and English
Legal right to work in France
Experience in recruiting, sales, and/or network building

Conditions :
The employee’s regular presence on site is essential for the execution of tasks. Work hours will vary according to activities.
