Overview

 

The Health and Wellness Coordinator supports both competitive sports and recreational activities on campus while liaising with off-campus institutions and partners such as city hall agents and local sports associations.

 

 

RESPONSABILITIES

 

Competitive Activities

·       Assist the Associate Dean of Student Health and Wellness with the organization and coordination of AUP’s competitive activities program

·       Liaise with team coaches and students for competitive activities

·       Maintain a good working relationship with sports facilities

·       Serve as the liaison for the French Federation of University Sports (FFSU), the LIFSU (Ligue Île de France Sport Université) and other sports organizations

·       Coordinate logistics and resources for competitive activities

·       Ensure registration in leagues and tournaments

 

Recreational & Wellbeing Activities

·       Assist the Associate Dean of Student Health and Wellness with AUP’s recreational and wellbeing activities program.

·       Maintain physical activities on and off campus, including our self-care and wellness offering

·       Liaise with club leaders and support their activities using an array of communication channels and methods (email, websites, apps, social media)

·       Promote interest in physical activity, wellness and self-care among AUP students

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Administration responsibilities

·       Assist the Associate Dean of Student Health and Wellness with the competitive, recreational and wellness activities budget offered through the office

·       Liaise with partnerships, fitness companies and other sports-related institutions

·       Update inventory of equipment and organize physical storage space

·       Maintain a web presence on the University public website and update the portal regularly

·       Oversee the office email account

 

Other appropriate duties may also be assigned as requested by the Supervisor and according to the needs of the Health and Wellness team.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Skills :

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in working with students and in coaching would be appreciated
  • Prefer BPJEPS or other degree related to physical education and sports; certification in wellness-related field a plus
  • Familiarity with non-profit sports organizations
  • Patient, approachable manner with students, able to work under pressure
  • Proactive, constructive and empowering mindset
  • Ability to understand and continuously improve processes and adjust to new situations
  • Sensitive to viewing student’s holistic health as the foundation for academic success
  • Experience managing a budget
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and French
  • Competent with Microsoft Office

Qualifications :

  • Prefer BPJEPS or other degree related to physical education and sports; certification in wellness-related field a plus
