General Assembly October 2025

Please mark your calendars and save the date(s) for our annual October AG & meeting to be held over two days this year : Thursday, October 9th (afternoon) and Friday, October 10th (morning & afternoon).

We’re pleased to confirm that David Wick, Associate Professor and Chair of the International Education Management Program at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, will be presenting and animating discussion on « Transforming Onsite Conflicts Into Learning ».

David will speak to us about conflict transformation (CT) and lead us in an exploration of how this practice applies to our work in international education.  Leading from the premise that conflict is a natural part of human relationships, and that constructive conflict can promote learning, deepen relationships, and advance social change, participants will learn to use CT analysis and practices to identify and respond to cultural differences, unmet expectations, and the political, identity, and interpersonal conflicts that students encounter abroad.

We thank in advance our University of Chicago colleagues for hosting us both days at the John W. Boyer Center in Paris.

More details will follow soon from the steering committee.

Hope you can make it!
