Atelier FLE le 15 novembre 2024

To take place at l’Institut Catholique de Paris

We will start by a panel discussion on Gender and Linguistics with Marie Flesch, Sociolinguist from Université de Lorraine and Benoît Rincé, Docteur en didactique des langues et des cultures followed by an atelier. After lunch we will spend the afternoon with Celeste Kinginger who will present the results of her research on the impact of language learning and study abroad on the career options and choices of US based alumni. She will open the conversation on assessment tools and the evolution and impact of AI on language learning. 

Julia Carnine will present the results of her survey done with her colleague for Frontiers Europe Special Issue with FLE teachers on the evolution of their teaching and teaching tools and students in the past twenty years to open the discussion with the auditorium. Natalie Allen will present a synthesis of the last Fall 2023 MLA study on the teaching of foreign languages in American Universities in echo to discussion. 

ILCF/ICP will invite our members for a cocktail at the end of the day in honor of Celeste Kinginger.
