Drawing on the work conducted in Paris and Singapore, this workshop will be an opportunity to introduce generative AI pointing to the core issues and anxieties present in the classroom, whether on the part of students, teachers or even management staff. This workshop will also be an opportunity to present ChatGPT and related platforms by looking into the transformations already visible in the production of student assignments, but also as a potential teaching instrument for
your content.
Module 1: An introduction to generative AI: current App ecosystem and competing standards
Module 2: Generative AI and Education: From ChatGPT to GoogleBard, curtailing or enhancing creativity in the classroom?
Workshop : An introduction to prompt and practical examples.
- How to improve their productivity and efficiency
- ChatGPT for writing code, writing tests, and creating documentation
- ChatGPT for creating high-quality blog posts and attention-grabbing emails
- How to use ChatGPT and Google Bard to produce better output and data
Dr. Alvaro Artigas is an associate researcher at the Center for European Studies and Comparative Politics and a member of the Sciences Po urban research program “Cities are Back in Town” and member of the board of the Digital Chair at the Urban School at Sciences Po. His research focuses on the complex interactions of technology with regional and metropolitan infrastructure development programs and their specific environmental and territorial consequences. He participated among other to the MEGOWAS program and is currently a member of the CAPinGHG consortium between the LIEPP and the LKY School of Public Policy in his capacity of Associated Fellow of the IES at the National University of Singapore. His most recent work interrogates the governance of low carbon economy transitions and in particular the interdependent nature of mitigation and adaptation programs (GHG inventories, UHI) with high end big-data aggregating solutions in several regions (Europe, South East Asia, Latin America). Other areas include the analysis of contribution of networks (transportation, energy) to decarbonization programs at the urban scale in Western European cities (FES, Acatech Munich). He is an active member of the development of new pedagogical approaches drawing on generative AI possibilities for social sciences and public policy analysis.
