Student Coordinator, API Paris



Academic Programs International (API) is a private study abroad organisation based in Austin (TX) in the United States. Under general direction the candidate will perform administrative functions by assisting with planning, organizing, and directing the day to day operations of the study abroad programmes in Paris. She or he reports to and assists the Resident Director. She / he organises cultural activities, and museum visits with students; conducts on site orientations, acts as cultural coach for the students by organising and attending excursions and cultural activities and helps students in their cultural adaptation. She is in charge of Student residence housing, recruiting host families and associated responsibilities.

The programme operates during the autumn, spring and summer terms. The busiest months are January ,June, and July. The AD serves as API ́s primary liaison for the students and coordinates communication between students and the Resident Director. The AD handles academic and non-academic issues, such as activities and excursions. She or he must meet frequently with API ́s students to evaluate their goals, progress, and adjustment to studying in a foreign culture.
