The Student Life Coordinator (SLC) works directly with the Assistant Director for Student Life at NYU Paris to provide a wide range of services in the areas of student support, programming, communication, immigration advising, safety and wellness and emergency response. The SLC also organizes the Welcome Week for the site programs and is in charge of coordinating all aspects of the Special programs coming to NYU Paris, including recruitment and training of Special programs Program Assistants (PA) and Resident Assistants (RA).This job requires flexibility as it involves some out of hours working including some evenings and weekends as well as staggered shift patterns and “on call” duties.
Two years experience in international education Knowledge of US higher education system
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Bilingual in French and English
Excellent knowledge of Paris and French administration
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and service oriented Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work well and positively with diverse personalities
Strong ability to speak in public
Excellent knowledge of Pack Office and ready to learn different systems
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
