Missions et activités du poste / responsabilité/Job Responsibilities:Develop and teach a third-year seminar in English focusing on the literature of American writers in Paris and the influence of the city on their work. From Pre-World War I, through the Jazz Age, the Depression and the aftermath of WWII, writers will include Lost Generation and Harlem Renaissance writers. The course will take students on site visits to better understand the geography of Paris and to link the writers to other cultural figures of the time.

Compétences et qualités requises/Required Skills: Candidates will hold an MA or PHD in a related field, have previous teaching experience and speak fluent English.

Conditions de travail (déplacements, permanence etc.)/Work Conditions (Travel, On-call, etc.): The professor will be asked to teach a seminar over 13 weeks with 3.5 contact hours per week. Classroom sessions as well as site visits will be required.
