Missions et activités du poste / responsabilité/Job Responsibilities:

The API/Parsons Program Assistant will perform administrative functions and will assist the API/Parsons Director in planning, organizing, and directing the day-to-day operations of the customized study abroad program in Paris. S/he assists in the handling of all non-academic issues, including housing, student services and cultural activities. S/he will assist the Program Director in the organization and leadership of each term orientation sessions. A part of the Office of Student Life, s/he will be available for the students on a daily basis to help them through their stay in France. This includes addressing administrative issues (immigration, health insurance, cell phone, bank, housing related questions etc.) but also day-to-day needs such as health or general advising.

Compétences et qualités requises/Required Skills

• Fluent (C1) in French and in English - both written and spoken
• Interest in international students, diversity and abroad studies
• Empathy and effective communication skills
Strong administrative and computer skills (Pack Office, Photoshop, Google Docs and Sheets...)
• Be detail oriented, pro-active, and a problem solver
• Quick worker, flexible, and able to work under pressure
• Experience with Social Media
• A previous experience in student services is a plus

Formation exigée/Required Qualifications

Autres/Other: French work permit
