Assistant Director, Student Success for Career Development, Employer Relations, and Academic Advising, Parsons Paris

TNS Parsons currently seeks full-time: Assistant Director, Student Success for Career Development, Employer Relations, and Academic Advising

The Assistant Director is responsible for providing academic and career advising according to degree requirements and students' abilities and aspirations to help students persist to graduation and obtain desired career outcomes. Additionally, this position will lead employer relations for Parsons Paris in collaboration with school leadership, faculty, and Career Services on the New York campus. The Assistant Director is an integral member of the Student Success team and reports to leadership in Student Success. This position establishes, maintains, and enhances employer relations with the distinct purpose of providing internships and job opportunities for Parsons Paris students. It also provides academic advising and career development services to degree-seeking students in one-on-one and group settings in the forms of workshops or other interactive venues. The Assistant Director also participates in programs and systems to support student persistence and success.

Responsibilities:
This position is split between career-related responsibilities (80%) and academic advising responsibilities (20%).
Careers/Internships/Employer Relations:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with employers relevant to the student body of Parsons Paris. Conduct site visits, invite them to campus, organize programming.
• Identify internship and job opportunities during key moments of the Parisian cultural and fashion calendar, such as, but not limited to, Fashion Week, FIAC, Paris Design Week etc.
• Spearhead the completion of all necessary documentation to enable students to work at the positions Parsons Paris offers in Paris and the broader European Union.
• Conduct job fairs, workshops, portfolio review, create and refine resumes, and translate students' skills into competencies and requirements prevalent in the world of work.
• Collaborate regularly with New York-based Career Services personnel and advisors.

autres heures seront effectuées sur d'autres jours de la semaine, dont certains samedis (environ 2 par mois)

Description: Parsons Paris seeks part-time technician to oversee our Digital Lab including: large format printing, scanning and high volume laser printing. Experience in digital printing techniques and machines. Background in visual art and design fabrication practices desirable. Responsible for upgrades in traditional and digital printing equipment. Knowledge of Adobe
Creative Suite or Creative Cloud, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro. Good organizational and communication skills a must.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily operations, performing maintenance and supervision of Digital lab, including maintenance of computers, and printers, scanners, copiers and keeping the area clean and workable at all times.
• Work a customer service/equipment checkout window for A/V equipment to students and faculty.
• Monitor and report to the Director of Technology on lab usage, consumable material usage.

Paris College of Art seeks an innovative and entrepreneurial leader for its new BFA program in Film, offered jointly with Emerson College in Boston. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop a contemporary film program in a European center for art and culture.

The Director of Film, reporting directly to the Dean, will work collaboratively with faculty and administration from Emerson College in the United States (http://www.emerson.edu) and ESEC film school in Paris (http://esec.edu/enter.php) to develop programs of study for students wishing to learn the conceptual, technical, aesthetic and procedural skills necessary for success as independent film artists.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• coordinate and help develop curriculum;
• assist in the hire and review of faculty;
• recommend equipment and facilities necessary to support the new curriculum;
